LAN 211 – Russian I

LAN 211 Elementary Russian I course is an elementary course recommended for students who don't know any Russian. This course aims to introduce basic vocabulary and basic sentence structures used in daily life.   It focuses on developing basic listening and reading skills with simple dialogues and simple texts. In addition, the use of Cyrillic Alphabet and pronunciation rules are also introduced in this course.

  • identify features of Cyrillic alphabet and basic pronunciation rules
  • use nouns in Russian accurately
  • hold basic conversations in daily life
